What are the advantages of lithium-ion batteries?

1) High voltage

The voltage range for a single battery is remarkable, reaching up to 3.7-3.8V (or 3.2V specifically for lithium iron phosphate). Interestingly, this voltage is three times higher than what can be found in Ni-Cd and Ni-MH batteries.

2) Larger than energy

The material has the potential to achieve an impressive specific energy of approximately 555Wh/kg, surpassing a specific capacity of over 150mAh/g. This value is about 3-4 times higher than that of Ni-Cd batteries and 2-3 times higher than Ni-MH batteries. The specific capacity of the material is quite close to its theoretical maximum. In fact, it reaches an efficiency of around 88%, which is truly remarkable.

3) Long cycle life

The battery life of lithium iron phosphate can reach an astonishing 8000 times, which is significantly higher compared to other batteries that generally last more than 500 times, or even more than 1000 times. This extraordinary longevity is a game-changer for electrical appliances with low current discharge. It effectively doubles the competitiveness of these appliances, giving them the edge in the market. The remarkable endurance of lithium iron phosphate batteries ensures that users can rely on their appliances for extended periods without the need for frequent battery replacements. This not only enhances the convenience and efficiency of these devices but also provides cost-saving benefits to consumers. With such superior battery life, electrical appliances powered by lithium iron phosphate batteries are poised to revolutionize the industry and elevate the user experience to unprecedented levels.

4) Good safety performance

New lithium ion battery

The lithium battery, known for its lack of pollution and absence of memory effect, faced limitations in its application due to the formation of dendrites leading to short circuits. This drawback restricted its usage in various fields. Unlike lithium-ion batteries, which are free from harmful elements like cadmium, lead, and mercury, other types of batteries create environmental pollution. Additionally, Ni-Cd batteries are subject to the memory effect, a downside that greatly hinders their effectiveness. However, the reliable Li-ion batteries do not encounter this issue at all.

5) Small self-discharge

When it comes to self-discharge rates, Li-ion batteries take the lead. A fully charged Li-ion battery stored at room temperature for a month loses only about 2% of its charge. This is a significant improvement over the 25-30% self-discharge rate of Ni-Cd batteries and the 30-35% rate of Ni-MH batteries. So, if you're looking for a battery that holds its charge for longer periods, Li-ion is the way to go.

6) Fast charging

In just 30 minutes of 1C charging, the capacity can exceed 80% of the nominal capacity. Furthermore, the remarkable ferrophosphorus battery has the ability to charge up to 90% of the nominal capacity in merely 10 minutes.

7) Working temperature

The current operating temperature range for our product is between -25 to 45°C. However, we are constantly researching and innovating to improve our electrolyte and positive electrode capabilities, with the goal of expanding our working temperature range to -40 to 70°C in the near future. Our team is committed to providing high-quality solutions that perform optimally in a wide range of environments, and we are excited to continue pushing the boundaries of technological advancement.
